It has been an amazing month finding out how much depth our children have. As Jaclyn has been diagnosed and treated for Chiara it has been physically and emotionally stressful, to say the least. She has faced the challenge by asking, "What am I supposed to learn from this?" I couldn't be more proud of her and Dace as they have faced this together. They have been thankful for all the blessings that have come their way. They have put forth incredible effort to take care of their sweet children and show gratitude to all those who get to share in caring for them. We are honored to be their parents.
Fair Days in Heber offered us the opportunity to visit exhibits, check out Afton and Kole's chickens (including the grand champion!) and attend the rodeo. Kole, Gracee, Afton, Lucy, and Preslee all took their stick horses and raced at the rodeo. It was so cute! Our sweet pregnant Lindsey went down to help the kids and carried Preslee around the "track" because she was scared. Each of the kids earned an awesome medal. I hope we will experience this again! Tyler, Katie, Jason, Krysten, Dace, Dick, and Robin all enjoyed watching Gracee, Preslee, Lucy, and Jacob experiencing their first rodeo! Kole also rode his bike in the parade with Grandma pedaling along side. It would be great to have a whole passel of Knights ride next year.
